Red Metal: The Copper Country Strike of 1913 will premier on national PBS tonight! I ushered this film through its online edit this fall as the program's post-producer, on behalf of Detroit Public TV. The documentary chronicles the 100-year-old labor strike in Michigan's upper peninsula that ended in the country's largest unsolved manslaughter. According to the NY Times: "In an age of battles over the minimum wage and concern about the distribution of wealth, it resonates." "In a new age of inequality, [Red Metal] feels like both a remembrance and a warning of what happens when opposing sides won’t talk." Click here to read the full article. Looking forward to the broadcast premier tonight!
